Fall Wishlist: Anthropologie

So I've been seeing a few people share their fall faves from Anthro (SaraMaria & Liz) and after seeing all of the gorgeous clothes and shoes they've posted I just had to check out Anthro's website and put together my own list. Check it out:

Glinting Persica Sweater Dress $188
First of all, I love the shape of this dress. The colors are perfect; I can just imagine this with some tights and cute heels. Then of course there's the gold shimmer throughout...I mean who doesn't love that?!

I am loving this orange color. Perfect for fall and Halloween (and Bengals season!). This also comes in Gold and White. Actually I want this in every color....

Basically I'm a sucker for anything with blue & white stripes. Well just stripes in general really.

I was instantly drawn to this shirt when I first saw it. I love the pattern and the complimentary colors.

I love this tee because it seems like it would be very flattering and I think you could dress it up or make it casual. I like the stitching across the middle. It comes in a few different colors, as well as striped colors, but I really like this purple color which comes across as more burgundy online.

Wow. I love this! I would expect it to be much more but I don't think the price is bad at all. It looks so cozy. I can just imagine wrapping myself self up in this and reading a good book while drinking hot apple cider.

O.M.G. this is amazing! I don't think it would work on me since it appears to be more of a swing style coat. Also, the sleeves are 3/4 length which wouldn't really get me through an Ohio winter. But I just want to stare at it all day.

I already have a pair of red skinnies from American Eagle (I really want the blue too!) but I've also been on the hunt for a pair of green (or mint) jeans. I saw that JC Penny had some a while back but I never checked them out and fear I might have missed out on them. Even though these are a bit pricey for me, if they went on sale I'd definitely consider them.

Can we talk about just how cute this skirt is? Totally impractical but at the same time, I feel as if I need this in my life :)

These shoes look so classic that I wouldn't mind paying full price for them! I love the loafer style and can just picture rocking these with some cranberry tights and tweed blazer.

What are you guys lusting for from Anthro?

Sorry bout that & an OOTD

Hey everyone! Sorry for the brief absence. I wish I had a good excuse...but I don't. Blame it on laziness or enjoying the nice weather. Although, the past few days the weather has been gross in my opinion - 85 degrees and humid. Ew. Thankfully it only lasted a couple days. Today it's cooler and rainy. Still humid but that's Ohio for you. Anyway, I'm glad the weather leveled out a little because tomorrow is my birthday and I did NOT want it to be hot and sticky. No way. I don't have any big plans for my big day. Dinner with my parents and fiancĂ©e and then my mom and I are going here on Monday. Other than that I'll just be chilling out and enjoying the day. I'll leave you with an outfit from last Saturday. As you'll see in the pics I was dressed for chilly weather which was exactly what we had last week. That's right, one week ago it was chilly and overcast. Today it's overcast but I'm wearing shorts. Once again....Ohio.

[Outfit of the Day]: Friday

Well our "heat wave" was very short lived. We had a couple days of highs near 50 (no way!) but today the chill returned. Thanks Canada! It's windy, cold oh and it's also snowing. It's been snowing since this morning actually. We've already gotten about 3-4 inches and we're supposedly getting more tomorrow. Which sucks. Because my mom and I are supposed to go shopping. I think we'll be fine though. Shopping (especially at Target) wins over weather ANY day.
Here's what I wore the other day. When it was "warmer"

Sweater: Anthropologie Outdoor Cafe Cardigan (similar here) (and here) (and here)
Tee: Target (similar here) (and here)
Leggings: JC Penny (similar here) (and here)
Boots: Madden Girl (similar here) (and here)
Necklace: Anthropologie (check ebay)

Going to go make some hot chocolate and catch up on some magazines. I'm soooo far behind. We're talkin' like I still haven't cracked open my Cosmo from November. It's embarrassing people.
:)

OOTD: Thanksgiving

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I sure did! Plenty of food, family and friends. I couldn't have asked for more. I got up early, made some coffee and breakfast and watched the parade with my mom. I had 2 houses to go to for dinner, so I ate plenty! Despite the fact that it was raining ALL DAY it was still a good time. I ended the day with a few glasses of wine and playing xbox with the boyfriend. Perfect.
Here's what I wore to dinner. I know it's a few days late but I've been recovering from a food coma. Time to get on the treadmill!

Sweater: Anthropologie Plaza cardigan (similar here - on sale!) (and here)
Shirt: Kohl's (here - only $6.99!)
Jeans: Kohl's (similar here)

I heart ebay

I have been an avid ebay shopper for years. Many people know this. Anytime I show up to work with a new purse - ebay! If I go out with friends and have on a new pair of shoes - ebay! Cute new sweater - ebay!!! Recently though I've been an avid Anthro ebay shopper. Meaning that most of my recent ebay purchases have been strictly Anthropologie items. I can't help it. The deals are just amazing (most of the time). You really have to be patient and look though. I always make sure the seller has 99-100% positive feedback, and lots of it! Knock on wood, I've never run across any real problems when shopping on ebay. Another thing I've found with shopping on ebay is that when it comes to Anthro items, they usually always have plenty of the more popular items such as the Blooming Lattice cardi, Tiny Windows dress, the Whirl and Wind cardigan. And usually they are pretty cheap. I saw the Whirl & Wind on ebay shortly after it came out for only $50 plus shipping. So if you're a budget buyer like me, I would definitely check out ebay for all your Anthro needs. I mean why pay full price when you can pay a fraction of the price for the same great item?
My most recent Anthro ebay find was this:

I got mine on ebay for $55 with free shipping. The one on Anthro's website has since been marked down to $59.95 (originally $118) but you still have to pay for shipping which is close to $10. In the end I definitely saved by finding mine on ebay.

Another recent Anthro ebay purchase (made just short of an hour ago) was this:

Bougainvillea Cardigan
This has been something I've lusted quietly after for quite some time. The colors are beautiful and it just looks so fun to wear. For the longest time, the only ones I could find on ebay were still around $100-120. But today as I was browsing I found one (a new one at that!) for $65 plus $5 shipping. SOLD! It seriously took me less than 3 minutes to pull the trigger on this one. I just had to make sure I had room in my budget. I'm glad this came along now. I was thisclose to buying this:

Mallard Bay Cardigan
I really liked this sweater and I might still get it. I've read a few reviews and a lot of them said it was itchy (it is wool) and that it ran small. But I've been seeing quite a few of these popping up on ebay the last week or so and for some reason I'm just really attracted to this "ugly grandpa" sweater. It just looks very cozy and it makes me want to go out to a lake in the early morning with coffee in hand and watch the ducks :)

Another recent non-Anthro ebay find were these pretties:

These pretty gold Jessica Simpson mary janes were only $12 plus shipping. They had only been worn once to a prom and are in fantastic condition. I think these will be great for the holidays and I plan on wearing them with this next weekend.
Plus I really wanted these because they reminded me of these:

J. Crew Spencer Mary Janes as seen on Emma Pillsbury

Another thing I got (not from ebay, but online) is this:

What is this exactly, you ask? Why it's a bracelet showing my support for breast cancer awareness. It says "I love boobies" on it. They are pretty cheap, plus they go for a good cause and there's plenty of different styles and colors. Go get yours here.

And lastly I got a new purse. Like I needed one. But oddly enough I don't really have a basic black purse. Weird right? I have a black shiny alligator print one, a patent leather black one and a black one with ruffles but not just a plain black goes-with-everything purse. Well to remedy this scary situation I purchased this:

Even better, it was under $100!
Thank you Vera Wang!

Whew! That was a lot. I hope my little ebay ramble was informative and I hope everyone will think to check there for future purchases. I am in no way trying to take business away from Anthro but I'm just saying, not everyone can afford to spend $100 on a sweater and thanks to ebay, you don't have to. Another great thing is finding something on there that maybe you missed out on while it was in stores.
Have a great night :)

[Outfit of the Day] - Warm & Cozy

Hello everyone! I hope you guys had a great weekend. We had beautiful weather here - mid 70s Saturday and Sunday. Saturday morning I participated in a walk for Cincinnati Children's Hospital. All proceeds from the walk went to the hospital. It was a great turn out - around 8,000 people! It was amazing. To walk you had to get someone to sponsor you for at least $25. I kind of signed up at the last minute so that was all that I donated but one group managed to raise over $28,000! Even though I had to get up at 6am and walk 3 miles, I didn't mind because I was doing it for the kids - it was a great feeling.
After the walk I had to rush back home and get ready to go into work. We had a comedy night on Saturday and had a great turn out for that - about 125 people. It was a little hectic in the beginning, getting everyone seated and fed before the show but as always we pulled it off with hardly any problems. Sunday I woke up not feeling too well - my throat was hurting and I just felt drained so I called off work to just have a day to relax. Turns out it really helped! Today I woke up feeling refreshed and like a new person really. I'm even going to work out today - yay! This morning I ran over to Target to get a Halloween costume. I needed one I could wear to work as well as to a party we're going to. So I didn't want anything "slutty" or too short/too low cut. I ended up finding a sailor girl costume that's perfect. It's a scoop neck but not too low and the skirt comes down to just above my knees. I bought a large but it's still kind of tight! I hate how Halloween costumes run so small. I'm going to keep it and just deal with it even though I feel like it shows every little bump and lump. I'll only have it on for a few hours anyway so whatever. Maybe I'll just wear some Spanx under it :)
Anyway, onto my outfit for today. It started off pretty chilly this morning, I believe it was hovering around 48 degrees when I left the house. Perfect time to break out my latest Anthro purchase.

A few recent items

Hey! Hope everyone had a great day! I know it was Columbus Day, and I was lucky enough to have the day off. Then again, I'm always off on Mondays, so eh. I could definitely tell it was a holiday because when I went to Target it was abnormally busy for a Monday morning (I would know this since I'm there just about every Monday) and then when I went into Chipotle for lunch, the line went all the way to the door and about 90% of the crowd was teenagers.
So I stopping into TJ Maxx last Friday simply because I hadn't been in awhile and wanted to see if I could find some deals. I ended up finding a few things. OK, I've never had much luck at TJ Maxx when it comes to purses/shoes. Either they don't have anything cute in my shoe size and when I do find something it's usually still "expensive", same with the purses. When I do find one I like it's still like close to $100 or they have some brand that I've never heard of priced well over $100. WTF? Anyway, I did end up finding a cute sweater by Michael Kors. I found one and it was marked $19.99 but I noticed it had some dust bunnies or something on the tie that went around the sweater so I found another one but this one was marked $39.99. I was like, seriously?! Dust isn't that big of a deal and I'm sure it'll come out in the wash so I went with the cheaper one. I'm thinking maybe it was a return or something but I couldn't find anything else wrong with it besides the dust.

My new favorite sweater. What a deal!

I couldn't resist these adorable Betsey Johnson Halloween socks! They were only $5.99.

I've been wanting to try a new deep conditioner and this one smells so good. I've never tried anything from Rusk before so I figured at under $6 this couldn't hurt.

Finally I bought a pair of Tweezerman tweezers! I've been so out of the loop on these. I really wanted a pair but didn't want to shell out the $20 for one even though I know they're worth it ;)
This isn't necessarily a print I would've picked out but for $12.99 I'll take it. Plus it doesn't really matter what print is on them right?

I finally got my Outdoor Cafe Cardigan! It finally went on sale at Anthro. I was thisclose to paying full price when it unexpectedly went on sale last week. I still had to pay some ridiculous amount for shipping but it was still a sale to me. I'm thinking about getting the yellow color because it just screams fall to me! I would totally recommend this cardigan. It's pretty lightweight but very warm and cozy. I will be wearing this well into the winter and maybe even early spring!

This cute little sweater comes courtesy of LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's. I bought the Oatmeal color which I am in love with and then went back and got the purple color. I love this color. It's a deep rich almost plum color. I like the lace back and shoulders. It's an unexpected take on your basic v-neck sweater. And at under $30 it's a total steal and right on trend for fall.

I was instantly in love with this sweater when I first saw it on aerie's website. I loved the style, the print, everything! The price was a little more than I was expecting, especially once shipping was added in but I think it's totally worth it. It is very warm and actually a little itchy but nothing that I can't deal with. I will definitely get a lot of use of this come winter, whether it's for hanging out or lounging around.

Lastly is these awesome boots by Madden Girl. They were only $79 and are the perfect fall boot that I've been looking for. I've already worn them once (and then it decided to go back in time to July again this weekend.) and I love them! If you're looking for great boots but are on a budget I would recommend these boots!

Wishlist: Anthropologie (updated)

Darn you Anthropologie. Coming out with such cute things. Things that cost money. Whatever happened to trading and bartering? 'Cause I would totally trade my whole pen collection for a cute sweater.

Love the ruffle/bow. I would totally pay full price for this.

Cute top. I would definitely buy this if it went on sale. It's too plain for full price.

I am dying over this top. I love the color. I love the design. The price isn't too bad either.

Ooooh love this! It's a nice twist on the basic asymmetrical cardigan. The price isn't that bad, but I'm still hoping it will go on sale. Soon.

EEk! This is only available in a size 2 online! Which I can totally NOT fit into. I hope I didn't miss my chance on this dress. I had a dream last night that I bought this, so that means it's meant to be right? Right?!?!

What an adorable sweater! It's got little coyotes all over it and stripes on the back. Plus I like the little double layer thing going on. Not too bad on the price, for an Anthro sweater anyway. Definitely keeping an eye on this one.

So I wasn't aware this was currently on the website. I found one of these on ebay the other day for a much lower price. I do love this sweater, but not for almost $100 so I might be making a "buy it now" purchase.

OMG. I need these NOW. Like right now. Please?
I actually like the black better than the turquoise. I think they would go with more things in my wardrobe and would look cute with different colored tights.

So that's all I have on my list - for now - anyway. Hopefully all of these things will magically go on sale and money will magically be growing on my tree :)
Well I did at least pick this up today, which made me happy since I've been wanting it forever but was not about to pay full price for it.
