Kohl's reviews: LC, JLO & R&R

I went to Kohl's the other day to return a few things and saw some great spring clothes. I also noticed they had a section for Rock & Republic which had me really excited. I decided to try a few things on and do some reviews for them. There were a ton of other things I wanted to try on but I didn't have enough time.

I have seen these cutout tops everywhere and this one looked promising but....eh. I think it's the color. It totally washes me out. There's a gray version online that I do like, however I still don't think I'm sold on the cutout sleeves.

I actually really liked this. It's got a bit of a hi-low hem. I do wish the front came down a tad lower though. It also has an attached cami which is nice. I could definitely see myself wearing this with some denim cutoffs or jeans for a dressier look.

I didn't think I would actually like this top but turns out it was my favorite of the day. They didn't have a Medium so I got a Large which still fit alright. It's supposed to be a baggy fit. I might actually go back and pick this up. I think the fit was flattering and perfect for casual comfy days.

When I first saw this online I immediately gravitated towards the gold one. But when I saw these side by side in the store, the gold sequins looked more matter while the silver (above) were more sparkly. This ended up being more fitted than I thought and I could probably take a Large but I still really liked this.

As you can see from the website this is supposed to be a tunic. Which means I guess I should have gone a size or two up? I couldn't figure this thing out in the store so I just wore it scrunched up which I suppose could also work. I don't think I'd buy this even though it was pretty comfortable. I'm just not feeling it.

I would have expected this sweater to be by LC or JLO, not mixed in with R&R studs and sequins. But I like it. It's a great way to wear a sweater in the middle of summer. As you can see it's got another hi-low hem thing. I might go back and get this if it goes on sale.

Wow. I really liked this. I loved the billowy sleeves and the embellishment. A few problems. I wish the bottom came down lower and/or flared out a bit. Also, when I was trying this on, I noticed that one of the little sequins had popped off onto the floor. Not good! Because I would have totally bought this.

I really loved the color of this. Great for spring/summer. Would look even better if I was tan :(
Definitely needs a cami or nude strapless bra underneath if you're not wearing a jacket over it.

As you can see, I've saved the best for last! It was love at first sight with this jacket. If I have some Kohl's coupons, I might go ahead and get it. It's on sale online for under $60. How can I NOT get it?!

If I go back and try on more things I'll definitely do some more reviews. They had so many cute, new things that it's definitely worth going back! Oh and you seriously need to go to your local Kohl's a check out the shoe section. Especially Vera Wang and Rock and Republic. Holy wow! That's all I'm going to say .

OOTD: Ugh

Confession: I only wore this outfit for about an hour. Just to run some errands (in between the raindrops). But at least I made myself look decent right? It's been raining since late last night and I'm so glad I didn't have to work today. Great day to come home and curl up on the couch for a scary movie marathon.

OOTD: Keepn' it real

We have been having some beautiful weather lately! Temperatures have been between 75-80, which the higher end is a little too hot for me, but it's been cool in the mornings and sunny during the day. Love it. I wasn't sure about blogging this outfit since it's not really that impressive. But I figured, why not? I don't dress up fancy EVERYday. Let's be serious folks.

OOTD: Gothic

Happy Monday everyone! Fall is here and I couldn't be happier. Oh except that I looked at the forecast for the upcoming week and it's supposed to be close to 80 by the weekend. WTF Ohio?! That is not October weather. Today however, was perfect fall weather. Sunny and 67. Perfect. It was a leggings kind of day guys. And this shirt. Hmmm. I bought it last year and I'm still not 100% on it. I really like it. But when I wear it with leggings it just gets bunched up in all the wrong places and I spend half the day pulling it down only to move 1/2 an inch and it's messed up again. Other than that I love it. And if you're wondering about my post title, well with the black leggings, black purse, black boots and dark nails I felt kind of Goth. I'm not sure why. I'm pretty sure Goth people don't smile and as you can see, I like to smile.

See what I mean about the bunching up? Annoying.

Sorry for some most of these pictures being so grainy. I don't know what was going on. Figures one of the only ones that was crystal clear was this one:
Awkward.

But at least this one turned out nice. You can't win them all.

OOTD: Hurry up already!

Don't you hate how every minute of everyday just inches by when you're looking forward to something? I swear Wednesday (Journey in concert!) and Friday (Vacation!!!!) cannot come soon enough. It seems like forever away. But there's no point in rushing through life right? You've got to take time to appreciate the time you have because you'll miss it when it's gone!

Finally got a pair of the American Eagle shorts....so comfy I want another pair!

My go-to summer hairstyle. Super easy and super cute.

OOTD: Somewhere Beyond the Sea

Hey guys! So first up - I didn't actually wear this today. I know, right? But I actually had a tooth pulled today. It was horrible! It didn't hurt but it was just uncomfortable. It was my second to last tooth on the top right side so it was kind of awkward to get to. I had to arch my head all the way back and keep my mouth wide open the whole time. Not fun! Little of a backstory: I had a cavity in this tooth when I was younger and had to have it refilled twice. A few weeks ago I was eating something and felt something strange. I felt with my tongue and half my tooth was gone! It didn't hurt but I went to have it looked at 'cause that's just not normal, ya know? So my dentist gave me 2 options: get it pulled or have a root canal and try to save it. Ummm...my choice was pretty easy. The worst part about today (which I didn't find out till after the surgery) was that they had to break the rest of the tooth before they could take it out. *shudders* So anyway, it's all over now and hopefully it will heal quickly. I don't have any pain, mostly tenderness. But I have to eat soft food till it heals and I can't drink through straws. I love drinking through straws so this is going to hard but I don't want to have any more complications so I must follow doctors orders!
Sorry for the long story....let's just get onto the outfit shall we?
Like I said, I didn't wear this today. If you really wanna know THIS is what I wore today:
Sorry for the myspace mirror pic but I was on painkillers....

Now THIS outfit I wore out to dinner last week. This shirt was kind of tight on me last year and now it's kind of too baggy but I still like it. I got it from Ruche and I love the tie back. You can adjust the tie high, low, loose, tight or just remove it all together. I personally like it, it's something different. As for the shoes, I got them from Kohl's and I love them! They're totally different than anything else I own. I love the colorblocking and the fact that they can go with anything.

Top: Ruche (similar - not really but I love the colors and style)(everyday version - love this!)
Shorts: Old Navy (here) (but these are cuter) (scratch that - these are)
Shoes: Kohl's (here) (love these too) (and these) (cool weather version - I've had my eye on these and now they're on sale!)
Earrings: Forever21 (similar-ish

Well I'm off to bed for some much needed rest. Work in the a.m.
Oh and I got an email today saying my wedding dress is in and ready to be picked up! I'm definitely jetting over to David's Bridal tomorrow after work to get it - I can't wait!
:)
