Haul - Forever21 & Ulta

Hey guys! Hope everyone had a fun & safe 4th of July. I can't believe it's July already! In less than a month I will be here and here. I feel like I have so much to do before then. I'm such an over-packer but I'm going to try and make a list within the next week or so of what I need/want to take and TRY not to pack unnecessary items. I said TRY. Anyway here's a few things I got from Forever21 and Ulta a few weeks ago that I forgot to post. I'm sure a few of these things will be making their way into my suitcase for the beach trip!

Floral aviators - $5.80
Gold layered necklace - $4.80
Blue stone necklace - $5.80

*Only available in white online. Check stores! I will most likely use these as cover-ups as they're a bit short on me to wear as an actual dress.

Embroidered Boho top - $27.80 (?)
Similar for $10 cheaper!

This stuff rocks! I've been using it 1-2 times a week and my skin has be looking & feeling great!

Amazing! All the hype is true! This was $11.99 for a 3.4oz bottle. I've been using it for weeks and can tell the difference.

From L to R: OPI Silver Shatter, OPI Black Shatter, Essie Jackie Oh My

Such a pretty color and I'm considering it as a wedding day color!

Last minute gifts

Hello there! As I said in my last post I went shopping yesterday to pick up a few last minute Christmas gifts and a birthday present for my boyfriend (his b-day is Dec 31). So here's what I got:
*Ok, I wont lie, some of these "gifts" were for myself. But a few of them were things I needed.....
Like hair color. I tried this last month and I love it. It's a great price too. I can't remember exactly how much but it's usually under $10, if not under $8.

I bought this pair of tights to wear to church Christmas Eve. I thought these were really cute. I was just going to get a plain pair but I saw these and I liked the subtle chain link pattern. Yeah. I got home and tried them on to see how they looked with my outfit. Within like 2 minutes I had 2 runs near the thigh. Grrr. At least they didn't cost that much!

This little guy caught my eye in the checkout at Ulta. You know how they have that tower of little things like  mini perfume and lotions, etc. Well I almost got a little perfume until I saw that a small rollerball of Juicy Couture was like $20 or something. Then I saw this sample of Ulta brand body wash. I've heard great things, especially about this scent. And it was only $3. Sold. Smells amazing. I'll definitely go back and buy the full version.

I love these little NYX eyeshadows. They're relatively inexpensive, the colors are great and they blend very well. The color I got was Iced Mocha. It's a really pretty medium brown with golden shimmer. I also bought a new thing of Dream Matte Mousse because the one I'm currently using is just a tad too dark for my pale winter skin.
While I was at Target buying my ill fated tights, one of the sales associates was unpacking some new socks. Yes the awesome $1 socks that I love! I seriously have almost every pair I've ever seen there. I mean they're super cute and you can't beat the price. I love the colors of the ones above. They have me longing for spring!

Oh and to go with my $1 socks, some $2 knee socks! These are great with boots or just to add an extra layer so your legs don't get cold.

I got these candle holders at Ulta. They were a free gift with purchase. I think it was because I bought some cologne; that's usually how it works there. I could either get a robe or these. I have like 3 robes (one is from a similar promotion from the spring) so I decided on the candle holders. They're actually really nice. I can't wait to use them!

I bought these for my boyfriend who was complaining about dry itchy skin. I told him to try this. I knew he wouldn't go out and get it so I took it upon myself to help a brother out.

This is the cologne that got me my candle holders. I got this for the bf for his birthday. It smells really good. It's part of their new Big Pony collection. I didn't smell all of them, just this one and either the orange or green one. But I liked this one the best. It smells similar to the original one.

Here are some more $1 socks. I got these for my bf's mom and his SIL as little stocking stuffers. I tried to sort of match colors. I think I did well.

Wendy's gift card for bf's dad. Amazon gift card for his grandmother.

Oreos & pistachios for bf's dad. He's a bit difficult to shop for. But I know he loves snacks (and Starbuck's). I'm also going to bake him some cookies.

And here's something I bought off of ebay. I wanted a little wallet/clutch that I could just grab and go if I was just running a quick errand or something and didn't want to lug around my purse. This thing fits my money, cards, phone and chapstick. Awesome. The only complaint is that it doesn't have a zippered pocket for your change so mine's just hangin' out in there.

I'm happy to say that all of my shopping is finished and I'm just waiting for Christmas Eve/morning to get here. I can't wait till everyone sees what I got them this year. I think I did pretty good (not to toot my own horn or anything.....)
How about you guys? Do you have all your shopping finished?
Only 4 more days!!!!!!!

Oh Target....Ya got me again

If Target were to suddenly go out of business I would seriously flip the fuck out. Then again, I'd probably be a billionaire because I wouldn't have anywhere to shop therefore I'd be saving all my money. But let's hope that never happens. It's tough for me to get out of that place for under $50. Sure it's happened once or twice. But that's about it. Seriously. I don't usually find so much in the way of clothing there as I do home related items. Or beauty items. Shoes are usually a given too. Oh heck. I love everything in that store :)

I wasn't too sure about this shirt when I saw it on the rack. First I thought, oh this is cute. Nice color. Cute pattern. Looks semi- J Crew-ish. Then I saw....glitter. On the flowers. I don't have anything against glitter I'm just not a huge fan of it being on me clothes. It can look tacky if not done right. It usually rubs off on anything else I'm wearing and my hands or other people if I stiff breeze comes along. But this was very flattering on and the glitter isn't that noticeable. Plus it was only $14.99. Much less than a J Crew shirt. Get yours here

I just realized in searching for this online it's actually listed as a "yoga" top but whatever. I like basic v-neck tops to wear especially in the fall when it can be cool and warm at the same time (make sense?). I do wish the V was a little higher because I am going to have to wear a cami underneath to avoid feeling overexposed.
Buy it here

I actually bought the pink (more like salmon) color of this sweater last week. They're on sale for $9.98. I was looking for a red cardigan to wear to a Cincinnati Reds game that night. I ended up not wearing this because of how hot it was but I really like it for future wear. It's 3/4 sleeve length. And it's so very soft. I highly recommend this one. I couldn't find it on their website but this one is very similar. I actually think it's the same sweater but not on sale?

I bought a set of "diamond" stud earrings. Again. I swear I go through these like a crack head. I always lose the backs or I take them out to clean them and somehow lose one of the pairs. It's a good thing these are cheap. THAT is exactly why I can never wear real diamonds.

Lately I've been kind of obsessed with candles, air freshener and things of that nature. Last week I finally bought one of those Febreeze things you plug into the wall and it smells amazing! The scent I bought is something like apples and leaves or some fall junk like that. I scents are noticeable but not overwhelming. So I bought a refill in a different scent, just to mix things up. I bought "meadows & rain" hopefully it smells wonderful. I also got an Air Wick candle in Vanilla & Soft Velvet. I haven't burned it yet, I'm waiting to burn a few of my other candles to start this one but it does smell good.

Some refill packs for my Neutrogena Wave. I've been using the wave for about a week and half now and I love it. My skin feels so much more smooth and I love how deeply it cleanses. Definitely recommend this.

I was trying to avoid going to Ulta because of how much I spent at Target but honestly, I couldn't avoid it. They didn't have either of the make-up colors I needed at Target so to Ulta I went. I found this L'oreal mascara that I've been wanting to try. I also picked up another NYX eyeliner in "milk" since my last one broke. I also got Cover Girl mineral powder in "light" and Revlon Colorstay in "medium beige" which is actually not the color I've been wearing and I think it might be too light but we'll see what I can do with it.

One thing from Target I forgot to mention. Apparently Sonia Kashuk makes nail polish. I was unaware of this until yesterday. The price isn't bad - $4.99. I have yet to try it out, I'll do a review on it once I try it. There were only a few colors and while I wanted to get them all I ended up getting this silvery shade. I have one from Sally Hansen already but it's kinda old. The color is called "smoke & mirrors"

I couldn't really capture these polishes that well with my phone. I was acting stupid but anyway. These are from the OPI swiss collection. On the left is "glitzerland" and on the right is "cuckoo for this color".
Both of these are sparkly and shimmery which I love and will be nice for fall. Can't wait to try!

Lastly is another ebay find. The seller stated that this necklace was from Anthropologie but I'm not too sure about that. It looks more Loft to me but what do I know. It looks pretty on and can't wait to wear it for Christmas. Yes I said Christmas.

Recent Purchases; splurge vs steal

So maybe I'm slow in realizing this but I have just bought a pair of shoes very similar to the Seychelles "Get Outta Town" flats. I thought when I purchased them they looked kind of familiar but couldn't quite put my finger on it. It wasn't until I remembered Kim wearing something similar on blog not too long ago. So basically I got these awesome shoes from Kohl's that are actually very close to a more "designer" pair. Cool. I didn't see these on the Kohl's website anymore so try your luck, they might have them in your local store. Apparently I'm not the only one who realized the splurge vs. steal. I believe mine were only $19.99 compared to $80.00. If you don't happen to find these at your local Kohl's there is still another option. 6pm has them for $48 (40% off!)

Here are the Seychelles brand. Crazy huh?

These were also purchased at Kohl's for $18.99. These look semi familiar too, no? I wanna say that maybe Steve Madden did a pair like these? I don't know. If anyone does know please tell me!

I went to Ulta today and picked up a few goodies.
I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding this weekend and wanted a nice lighter nail polish. I saw the mini Essie's and just HAD to get them. And they just so happen to be from the "Wedding Collection"
Perfect.

One Iced Green Tea coming right up!

Here's a sneak peek at the shoes I'm wearing in the wedding this weekend. They are pretty comfortable and so dainty and pretty. I will be able to definitely wear these again!

I also went to Blockbuster and they were having previously viewed movies 5/$25 or 3/$20
I bought Gran Torino (great movie!!!!), New Moon (I got made fun of by the check out guy for buying this but whatever I had fun with it) and Public Enemies (good movie, kind of long though)

And my best purchase this week:
Nine West "Jenna" bag. I found this on ebay for $34.99. I love it. It's the perfect gray color and has tons of room for everything!
