Easter

Hey everyone! Just wanted to stop by and share my Easter outfit for tomorrow. Actually most of the things below aren't what I'm actually going to be wearing. The only thing I got right was the jeans. I still haven't decided between skinny jeans or flare jeans. I am wearing nude pumps (mine are from Shoedazzle), I am wearing a flow-y blouse (mine is from JC Penny but mine wasn't plus size and I just bought it in the store for $20 on Wednesday but it's online for only $10! Not cool), and I'm carrying a lavender bag (not a Balenciaga!). After church we're continuing our tradition of going to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Then we'll probably just come home and lounge in the sun the rest of the day :)

Easter

MNG by Mango peasant blouse, $40
American Eagle Outfitters flare jeans, $45
American Eagle Outfitters super skinny jeans, $40
ALDO stiletto heels, $116
Balenciaga handbag, $1,895

Hope everyone has a Happy Easter! What are your plans for tomorrow?

OOTD: Ugh

Confession: I only wore this outfit for about an hour. Just to run some errands (in between the raindrops). But at least I made myself look decent right? It's been raining since late last night and I'm so glad I didn't have to work today. Great day to come home and curl up on the couch for a scary movie marathon.

OOTD: Keepn' it real

We have been having some beautiful weather lately! Temperatures have been between 75-80, which the higher end is a little too hot for me, but it's been cool in the mornings and sunny during the day. Love it. I wasn't sure about blogging this outfit since it's not really that impressive. But I figured, why not? I don't dress up fancy EVERYday. Let's be serious folks.

OOTD: Gothic

Happy Monday everyone! Fall is here and I couldn't be happier. Oh except that I looked at the forecast for the upcoming week and it's supposed to be close to 80 by the weekend. WTF Ohio?! That is not October weather. Today however, was perfect fall weather. Sunny and 67. Perfect. It was a leggings kind of day guys. And this shirt. Hmmm. I bought it last year and I'm still not 100% on it. I really like it. But when I wear it with leggings it just gets bunched up in all the wrong places and I spend half the day pulling it down only to move 1/2 an inch and it's messed up again. Other than that I love it. And if you're wondering about my post title, well with the black leggings, black purse, black boots and dark nails I felt kind of Goth. I'm not sure why. I'm pretty sure Goth people don't smile and as you can see, I like to smile.

See what I mean about the bunching up? Annoying.

Sorry for some most of these pictures being so grainy. I don't know what was going on. Figures one of the only ones that was crystal clear was this one:
Awkward.

But at least this one turned out nice. You can't win them all.

Outfit of the Night + Nails of the Night

Whew! What a weekend! Saturday night I watched one of my best and oldest friends get married. She looked GORGEOUS! I so wished I would have gotten a picture of her dress. In fact, I didn't get any pictures at all. I was too busy havin' fun y'all. Open bar at the reception + friends I haven't seen in forever + the DJ playing all of our favorites, new & old ("Bye, Bye, Bye" might have been played) = best night in a long time! The weather was perfect too - sunny with a slight breeze and a crisp cool evening to top it off. The reception was at the Marriott and it was beautifully decorated and the food was delicious. I definitely got some ideas for my own wedding. For one, the bridal party had the best entrances I've ever seen! They were having a contest to see who could have the best entrance; just to name a few: the girl walks in with the guys jacket and proceeds to the dance floor where she waves it like bull fighter and the guy comes running out at it. Another funny one was the girl walking out to the dance floor and pretending to fish and the guy jumping like he's been caught. The others were little dance routines and when the bride and groom came out the bridal party lined up and made a tunnel with their arms which the new Mr. & Mrs. (Doctor!) ran through. It was a super fun night and it reminded me that I really need to see my friends more often.
Then on Sunday, we went to Olive Garden with the family to celebrate my great uncle's 93rd birthday! It was great to see everyone and had me hoping that I make it to that age someday and that I'm still in good health to enjoy it all!
OK, if you're still with me after all that then good for you! Here's what I wore to the wedding and on my nails.

Dress: LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's
Cardigan: Old Navy
Bracelets: Harrod's & Macy's
OK so the shoes pictured here aren't actually the ones I wore. For reference though, they are by Guess and I bought them at TJ Maxx.

I wore these shoes to the wedding but actually changed into ANOTHER pair for the reception because these are 1/2 a size too big and kept slipping of my feet.

I do love these though. These are by Candie's from Kohl's. Yes they are VERY glittery. Love them.
The shoes I wore to the reception were by RSVP and they are a champagne color platform peeptoe with clear "jewels" around the toe. I'll have to come back and insert a picture here later....

My manicure is Essie's "Carry On'' from the fall collection. I just picked this up Friday and I love it. I have a feeling I'll be wearing it a lot this season. It's a very dark burgundy-plum color that almost looks black.

I can't believe October is just around the corner! I personally can't wait.  My favorite month of the year!
:)

OOTD: Hurry up already!

Don't you hate how every minute of everyday just inches by when you're looking forward to something? I swear Wednesday (Journey in concert!) and Friday (Vacation!!!!) cannot come soon enough. It seems like forever away. But there's no point in rushing through life right? You've got to take time to appreciate the time you have because you'll miss it when it's gone!

Finally got a pair of the American Eagle shorts....so comfy I want another pair!

My go-to summer hairstyle. Super easy and super cute.

Shirt: Kohl's (similar)
Shoes: Victoria's Secret (similar)
Bracelet: Target
Sunglasses: Forever21 - only $1.50!

OOTD: Somewhere Beyond the Sea

Hey guys! So first up - I didn't actually wear this today. I know, right? But I actually had a tooth pulled today. It was horrible! It didn't hurt but it was just uncomfortable. It was my second to last tooth on the top right side so it was kind of awkward to get to. I had to arch my head all the way back and keep my mouth wide open the whole time. Not fun! Little of a backstory: I had a cavity in this tooth when I was younger and had to have it refilled twice. A few weeks ago I was eating something and felt something strange. I felt with my tongue and half my tooth was gone! It didn't hurt but I went to have it looked at 'cause that's just not normal, ya know? So my dentist gave me 2 options: get it pulled or have a root canal and try to save it. Ummm...my choice was pretty easy. The worst part about today (which I didn't find out till after the surgery) was that they had to break the rest of the tooth before they could take it out. *shudders* So anyway, it's all over now and hopefully it will heal quickly. I don't have any pain, mostly tenderness. But I have to eat soft food till it heals and I can't drink through straws. I love drinking through straws so this is going to hard but I don't want to have any more complications so I must follow doctors orders!
Sorry for the long story....let's just get onto the outfit shall we?
Like I said, I didn't wear this today. If you really wanna know THIS is what I wore today:
Sorry for the myspace mirror pic but I was on painkillers....

Now THIS outfit I wore out to dinner last week. This shirt was kind of tight on me last year and now it's kind of too baggy but I still like it. I got it from Ruche and I love the tie back. You can adjust the tie high, low, loose, tight or just remove it all together. I personally like it, it's something different. As for the shoes, I got them from Kohl's and I love them! They're totally different than anything else I own. I love the colorblocking and the fact that they can go with anything.

Top: Ruche (similar - not really but I love the colors and style)(everyday version - love this!)
Shorts: Old Navy (here) (but these are cuter) (scratch that - these are)
Shoes: Kohl's (here) (love these too) (and these) (cool weather version - I've had my eye on these and now they're on sale!)
Earrings: Forever21 (similar-ish

Well I'm off to bed for some much needed rest. Work in the a.m.
Oh and I got an email today saying my wedding dress is in and ready to be picked up! I'm definitely jetting over to David's Bridal tomorrow after work to get it - I can't wait!
:)

OOTD: Walkin' on Sunshine

Hey guys! It's been super awful hot & humid here for the last few weeks. I seriously can't take it anymore. I'm not really a "summer" girl anyway so bring on fall! The way I look at it is you can always add another layer but there's only so much you can (legally!) take off...
Here's an outfit from last week when the heat wasn't as oppressive and I could actually wear sleeves and be comfortable.

Top: Target
Shorts: American Eagle (similar)
Belt: American Eagle (similar)
Shoes: Target - check stores, they're on sale for $17.99!
Watch: Kohl's (similar)
Frizzy hair: Ohio Valley Humidity!

I'm off today and tomorrow I'm going with the fiance and another couple to the Reds game - it's gonna be hot!
What is everyone else up to this weekend?

OOTD: Chance of Showers

Hey everyone! So I actually have an outfit to show you guys. Exciting right? I hope so. This outfit is actually from last Friday. I went to my high school friends' bridal shower. She's getting married in September. I was super excited to go because I haven't seen some of my friends in over 6 months! My friend who's getting married actually lives in Minnesota so it was even more special to see her since she's not just a 30 minute drive away like my other friends. The weather was perfect - warm & sunny. Great time to wear a cute dress. Fun fact: I actually wore this same outfit (minus the shoes & purse) to my future sister-in-law's rehearsal dinner last year. They're rehearsal was on Friday the 18th and my friends shower was on Friday the 17th. Weird huh?

Dress: American Eagle (similar)
Cardigan: Forever21 (similar-ish)
Sandals: Miss Trish of Capri for Target (this year's version)
Purse: Coach Ashley (kind of similar)

They had a nice light spread of food including fruits & veggies, grilled chicken salad, and tomatoes with mozzarella cheese...yum. And for dessert? The cutest cookies and cupcakes in the brides colors. The cupcakes had glitter on them!

Hope everyone is having a great week so far....Happy Hump Day!
